HeLa Cells were cultured in media containing EMEM and 10% fetal bovine serum for minimum 2-3 days. Cells were then split and seeded at a cell density of 3.5 x 105 cells in a 6 well plate in EMEM 0.1% FBS and a final concentration of 1X of either BioLegend Cell-Vive™ CD ITS Media Supplement, GMP (cat#: 420524, black bar) or a Competitor’s ITS solution (white bar) for 2-3 days. At the time of harvest, cells were dissociated with 0.25% trypsin EDTA and counted for (A) final cell counts and (B) viability.

Cell-Vive™ CD ITS Media Supplement (100X), GMP is a chemically-defined formulation prepared without human or other animal-derived components. This GMP product is suggested for use in research and ex vivo cell processing. The benefits of this cell culture supplement include:

Recommended Usage

Thaw the supplement overnight at 4°C and dilute to a 1X final concentration in desired cell culture media.

Application Notes

Cell-Vive™ CD ITS Media Supplement (100X), GMP is a concentrated serum-replacement supplement for cell culture applications. It is recommended to dilute the supplement to a 1X concentration in the desired cell culture media.

 

It is recommended to thaw the supplement overnight at 4°C prior to use. The supplement can be stored unopened at 4°C for 2-4 weeks and can be used for one month once added to cell culture media. Final concentrations other than 1X and efficacy of the thawed supplement after 2 weeks should be tested in the desired cell culture platform.
